Two Hours With Claude: Inside Our Public Workshop

Clinton

About forty minutes in, we asked the room a simple question: what’s a workflow you’d actually want to automate?

The answers came fast. Resume checking. Synthesising monthly investor updates. Drafting consistent sales quotes without re-formatting each one. Automating inbound client research after someone fills in a prequalifying form. Building pre-meeting briefs that pull from Granola transcripts and Gmail. Daily briefings combining inbox, Slack, calendar, and Monday.com. One attendee suggested an automation that identifies which processes to automate - meta-favourite of the session.

By the end of the two hours, most people in the room had a specific target for their first skill.

What they built

David, an attendee who routinely processes long PDF business rules documents, identified a document simplifier as his next build. He’d seen the pattern on one of our slides and recognised his own week in it. One attendee opened Claude Design mid-session and built a personal website while the workshop was still running. Across the chat, others were typing their targets in real time - quote consistency, SDR research and follow-up, investor update synthesis, automated email triage.

The room also heard from Mitchell, three weeks into using Claude, who described having already had Claude Code build him an autonomous agent on a DigitalOcean droplet that scrapes market data overnight and pushes it into his Excel sheets. He doesn’t write code himself. He was at the session to figure out how to replicate the pattern across ten more workflows. A preview of where this trajectory leads.

Why a workshop like this works

It carves out protected time for your team to look at their own week and name the work they’d actually want to compress - something most people can’t do cold, in their own heads, without being walked through it. Then it gives them the fundamentals, working examples, and live build time to turn that target into a real prototype. Most attendees leave with something they’re partway through and a clear path to finish it.

“I saw one of your slides - a document simplifier skill. I’m going to make my own version, because I go through a lot of PDFs and long business rules documents. Instead of constantly doing that, I’ll just make it a skill.” - David P., workshop attendee

“I started on Claude probably about three weeks ago. I’ve gone from data entry normally to basically cutting half my job, automating that in the background. I didn’t build the robot. Claude built the robot.” - Mitchell W., workshop attendee

The bigger picture

The lunch and learn is the front door to Solaris. The full programme combines an AI capability assessment, targeted workshops, accelerators, ongoing office hours, and ROI measurement - designed to produce measurable adoption that compounds, not training for training’s sake.

Curious where AI could compress the work your team does every week? [Let’s run a Solaris session for you →]
